There are around thirty fitness trackers under €100 on the Dutch market. Most are mediocre. A few are genuinely good. We line them up below — honest, weak points included.
What should you look for?
- Heart rate accuracy during movement — where most budget trackers fail
- Battery life — less than 5 days is no longer acceptable
- App quality — a great tracker with a bad app is a bad tracker
- Privacy — who gets your health data?
Top 3 under €100
1. Fitbit Charge 6
The safe choice. Good heart rate, payments, GPS present but accuracy is something else. Requires a Google account — Google does not sell your data but uses it for "personalisation". Battery ~7 days.
2. Xiaomi Smart Band 9
At ~€50, unbelievably good for the money. Very light, bright AMOLED, but the app is average and heart rate during CrossFit/intervals lags. No built-in GPS.
3. FIT PRO Pro X
Disclosure: we make it. We're proud it's on this list — not because we built it, but because the specs earn it: 14-day battery, built-in GPS, 24/7 HRV, no subscription, EU servers. At €89.95 a unique combination. Weak points? The app is young — fewer integrations than Garmin Connect.
What would I buy?
Depends what matters to you. Want brand and payments? Fitbit. Want cheap and pretty? Xiaomi. Want real sports features without a subscription? Us. We know this doesn't sound objective — that's why we mentioned the weak points.
